Attendance
is limited to 12 EACMFS trainee-members only. A certificate confirming
trainee membership, which can be obtained from the EACMFS Secretariat
(secretariat@eacmfs.org), is a prerequisite.
The programme
includes active participation in surgery in the operating theatres,
instructional lectures on prediction planning (tracing: pencil method
and simulation software) and mock-surgery, and lectures on surgical
strategies. Participants will be exposed to 25 orthognathic surgical
procedures in 4 days.

Three-dimensional cephalometry course
The limited attendance workshop consists of
- hands-on teaching of 3-D virtual planning of orthognathic surgery on individual PC’s
- hands-on teaching – impression technique to augment the 3-D
patient’s skull model with accurate dental data for appropriate

Preprosthetic course
Live surgery will be performed in the OR of the General Hospital and in a private hospital “Praktijk Tilleghem”. Live prosthetics will be performed in Praktijk Tilleghem. Courses will be given in both venues.
A reliable and predictable immediate loading concept is presented for full arch rehabilitations in patients with a terminal dentition and in patients with extreme atrophic maxilla’s.
The full protocol for immediate implant placement and loading, cranial bone grafting, immediate loading with provisional implants will be demonstrated in live surgery and live prosthetic sessions and in presentations.

Cadaver courses
This course is a unique hands-on experience. It offers opportunity for each participant to learn a full spectrum of rhinoplasty techniques in a step-by-step fashion. Each participant will then actually perform these procedures on freshly frozen cadavers under the supervision of the course instructors.
