Facial aesthetic surgery

Cosmetic surgery is an optional procedure that is performed on normal parts of the body with the only purpose of improving a persons appearance and/or removing signs of aging.
On the face the most common interventions are:
The operative goals of a blepharoplastic procedure are

  • the restoration of the correct functioning to the affected eyelids,
  • the restoration of the aesthetics of the eye-region of the face, which are achieved by eliminating excess skin from the eyelids,
  • smoothing the underlying eye muscles,
  • tightening the supporting structures,
  • resecting and re-draping the excess fat of the retroseptal area of the eye, in order to produce a smooth anatomic transition from the lower eyelid to the cheek.

is a plastic surgery procedure

  • for correcting and reconstructing the form,
  • restoring the functions,
  • aesthetically enhancing the nose, by resolving nasal trauma, congenital defect, respiratory impediment, and a failed primary rhinoplasty.

In the surgeries (closed rhinoplasty and open rhinoplasty) a functional, aesthetic, and facially proportionate nose is created by separating the nasal skin and the soft tissues from the osseo-cartilaginous nasal framework, correcting them as required for form and function, suturing the incisions, and applying either a package or a stent, or both, to immobilize the corrected nose to ensure the proper healing of the surgical incision
This surgical procedure denotes the surgical and non-surgical procedures for correcting the deformities and defects of the external ear; and for reconstructing a defective, or deformed, or absent external ear, consequent to congenital conditions (e.g. microtia, anotia, etc.) and trauma. The surgeon corrects the defect or deformity by creating an external ear that is of natural proportions, contour, and appearance, usually achieved by the reshaping, the moving, and the augmenting of the cartilaginous support framework of the ear.
Brow lift
A forehead lift, also known as a browlift, is a cosmetic surgery procedure used to elevate a drooping eyebrow that may obstruct vision and/or to remove the deep worry lines that run across the forehead and may portray to others anger, sternness, hostility, fatigue or other unintended emotions
This cosmetic procedure gives a more youthful facial appearance. There are multiple surgical techniques. It usually involves the removal of excess facial skin, with or without the tightening of underlying tissues, and the redraping of the skin on the patient's face and neck. Facelifts are effectively combined with eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and other facial procedures and are typically performed under general anesthesia or deep twilight sleep.
Facial injectables are either fillers (mostly consisting of hyaluronic acid) or neurooxins (botulinum toxins). These products are used in minimally invasive cosmetic intervantions to rejuvenate the aging skin of the face. These products can help to enhance the appearance of the eyes; the mouth and to eliminate facial wrinkles (foerhead, periocular and perioral regions)
